The Building Process – How to Cope with the Emotional Roller Coaster
After selecting the materials and finishes for your new kitchen renovation and signing off the designs and plans, there is a short delay while our design/remodeling company in Halifax prepares to start the job. On the morning of our big day we have one last look at the drawings before the crew arrives to begin your renovation, this is when we feel the adrenaline kicking in. Having a home remodeling project completed is very exciting and naturally it can be stressful as well.  Our team  has worked hard to design and plan for your project by ordering materials and co-coordinating tradesmen to do the job.  We want nothing more than to have you feel comfortable during the building process and we want your project run as smooth as possible.  That’s why we have come up with tips to help you prepare for the build!
Remodeling and renovating a kitchen, bathroom or home addition involves careful planning. The remodel job itself may take several weeks if we have to remove old cabinets, take out walls, put in new windows, and move doors before we start. This is the most stressful period because it will seem as if you are surrounded by chaos. This is an excellent time to take a break for a few days and let the tradesmen begin demolition.
After a flurry of activity, the hammers and chisels fall silent and the dust settles. You can hear voices and gentler sounds again. This is when reality will kick in, the interior space will be down to the bare bones and it will be hard to imagine what it is going to end up looking like.  The tradesmen have cleaned up and are busy with the plumbing and HVAC rough-ins. We feel better about things as we go down the remodeling emotional roller coaster into a calmer phase.
During the next phase you will begin to see steady progress every day. With the plumbing and heating in, work proceeds smoothly through the electrical and insulation phases.  At this point you will feel glad you have decided to go with a renovation contractor Halifax that takes care of all aspects of the project. From design concept right to the build and completion of work.
A brief period of sawing and hammering follows as the drywall goes in, and they tidy up the siding around the windows and the backdoor. When they finally finish the sanding, we are happy. The dust and mess is over and we are on the home stretch. A different, more pleasurable high develops as the trim and cabinets arrive for assembly, followed by the tilers and the painters.
Our excitement reaches new heights as we watch the talented craftsmen install the plumbing and electrical fittings. After the floors go down the job is over, and it is time to party! But it is not over just yet. The project leader comes back the next day to inspect and âadd the last doorknobâ.
When you choose Case Design/Remodeling in Halifax you are assured the job will go smoothly and as planned. You could be cooking up a storm in your brilliant new kitchen sooner than you think.
