This fun couple isn’t afraid of a little creativity in the kitchen – both culinary and design. We had a lot of fun coming up with the design for this new, sleek, and contemporary kitchen space. Throughout our material selection meetings, we were excited to see what this couple would choose.
We didn’t leave any main floor walls or flooring untouched in this post-war West-end Halifax home. Starting with a clean slate, we were able to create the perfect bright, open space for this couple to cook and entertain. The crew worked hard to get lines level in this old home, but their effort certainly paid off in the end.
The beautiful and unique 18” hexagon floor tiles set the tone for the dramatic transformation. Simple white cupboards are anchored with simple subway tiles and dark grout lines. Adding open shelves along the perimeter also give them space to display their favourite treasures. The new, energy-efficient, top-of-the-line appliances keep the lines clean and modern. The stainless-steel range hood adds a pop of cheery bright green. Finally, truly unique counter tops are the perfect finishing touch – their subtle tone-on-tone geometric shapes add a playful and fun accent to the space.
