This cool couple and their kitty Hudson bought an old home in Halifax’s West End. Slowly-but-surely, they began updating each space, and it was finally time for the kitchen. Working with our design team, they decided a small addition would give them the space they needed.
The addition needed to flow seamlessly from the old home, keeping the floor level and incorporating the old with the new. We kept as many original details as possible, including the 80 year old wood joist joining the 2 spaces. The frameless and sleek slab style cabinets and quartz counter-tops mix effortlessly with the warm wooden butcher block workspace and the herringbone tiled backsplash. The pantry was combined with the exposed laundry space to create plenty of storage and a very European-style space.
The 8 foot sliding doors allow plenty of light into the new space and lead to the beautiful new natural wood deck beyond.
