These parents of two were looking to update their North End townhouse ensuite into a grownup retreat. Keeping that in mind, we created a plan to replace the dark and dated space with fresh, clean, and modern finishes.
The original footprint of the space was quite large, but felt cramped and cave-like. We began with re-configuring the floor plan to make it feel more spacious. We laid in-floor heating under the neutral grey porcelain tiles to keep the room warm and cozy throughout the winter. To give the shower some texture and sparkle, we used an interlocking marble and glass mosaic.
The floating vanity has plenty of storage and the solid quartz top houses double undermounted sinks. A beautiful stand alone soaker tub with its modern floor mounted faucet sits under the window and becomes the focal point of the room. Silver-grey walls and large white baseboards finish the room and completes the contemporary space.
